Dropsy
This disease occurs due to more accumulation of fluids in the abdominal cavity. Fish abdomen will look bulged and sometimes even eyes are also seen enlarged. Concurrent failure of liver and kidney is the major cause for this disease.
Symptoms:
- Bulged body
- swollen eyes
- Loss of body colour
- Sluggish movement
- Sitting at the bottom
- Loss of appetite and urine output almost nil.

Treatment: There is no treatment for the advanced stage of this disease. It is better to prevent this disease in the initial stage itself.
